Onyx Engineering consulted with judges and counsel to determine what could be done to best meet their evidence presentation needs. Our goal was to incorporate the ideas and suggestions of the people who are involved in the judicial process on a daily basis. This information, combined with Onyx Engineering's experience in digital multimedia, computer and video projection technologies, resulted in an innovative and easy to use system.

Onyx Engineering’s “Litigation Station” consists of a custom designed lectern that houses the major components of the presentation system. The system provides two sets of laptop computer inputs (one for each attorney), and an auxiliary audio/video input. The contents of the lectern include a professional quality VCR for video taped evidence playback, high resolution document camera for article evidence display and a SVGA color video printer for printed evidence submittal. In addition to the evidence display devices, a pointmaker pen allows the witness or litigation teams to add visual markings to the displayed images, all of which can be viewed on the presentation monitors or printed directly to the color printer. A touch screen control system provides an easy to use graphic interface for the entire system. The system can also be expanded to include video teleconferencing and remote arraignment capability.
