The printer ribbon and paper are provided as a matched set. Do not attempt to use any other paper or ribbon in the printer, it will not work and could damage the printer. To replace the ribbon, press on the ribbon compartment door located on the left of the printer. Remove the used ink ribbon and empty spool from the ink ribbon holder and install the new ink ribbon into the holder as shown in the illustration above. Wind the ink ribbon onto the empty spool until the "START" position marker faces up as shown. Make certain that there is no slack in the ribbon, place the ribbon holder assembly back into the printer and close the ink ribbon compartment door. To replace the paper, push in on the paper tray (located near the bottom of the printer) and remove it. Remove the new paper from it's wrapper and remove the printing surface protection sheet. Place the paper shiny side down (logos facing up) into the paper tray. |
